EDUCATION

In addition to daily clinical activities with patients, Dental Clinic Jelušić is dedicated to education in the field of implatology. The head of the dental clinic, Dr. Damir Jelušić, is known throughout the region as a qualified and recognized demonstrator and lecturer for the Astra Tech Implantation System. Dr. Jelušić also teaches courses at the dental clinic in respect to the international educative program for this system.

Courses organized by Dr. Jelušić have thus far been completed by several hundred doctors of dental medicine from Croatia and from many European countries (Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Poland, Greece, Czech Republic, Russia).

In addition to standard courses for doctors of dental medicine, INDIVIDUAL “IN CLINIC” COURSES are held at the dental clinic, during which the attendee participates in the activities of the dental clinic, simultaneously observing and commenting daily implant routines along with surgical, prosthetic and other aspects of dental medicine.

IMPLANT PROSTHETIC THERAPY WITH LIVE-OP

ABOUT THE COURSE: extensive three-day theoretical and practical implantology course intended for all doctors of dental medicine who would like to expand and complete their theoretical knowledge in implant prosthetic therapy. The course is systematic and is based on theoretical concepts that are expanded and applied in a significant number of practical cases, ranging from simple to complex. The course is didactic and includes lectures, video presentations and practical work on models.

The agenda of the course includes surgical, prosthetic and periodontal groundwork of implant prosthetic therapy with a presentation of laboratory phases. In addition to theoretical lectures, surgical and prosthetic operational phases on models are demonstrated in a practical manner during the course, using original components and instrumentation. At the end of the course, all participants attend one LIVE-OP implant placement surgery.

All course participants receive a diploma, and the course is limited to 15 dentists.

GBR TECHNIQUE AND SINUS LIFTING WITH LIVE-OP

ABOUT THE COURSE: This course is intended for doctors of dental medicine that practice implantology and would like to expand their therapeutic possibilities and/or become acquainted with implant possibilities in upper jaws with bone resorption. The lateral segment of the maxilla often represents a problem in “standard” implantology due to the reduction of bone volume. In this course, implant possibilities and methods of resolving the mentioned problems are shown.

In addition to theoretical lectures, the systematization of surgical techniques and practical clinical advice will be demonstrated, as well as, LIVE-OP on a patient. The course includes lectures, video presentations and hands-on operations on anatomic models (swine heads).
