PANORAMIC IMAGERY

Known as “panoramic imagery”, an RTG orthopantomogram is primarily used as the fundamental orientation diagnostic image.
Due to its high diagnostic precision, panoramic imagery is used by doctors during an initial examination, when it is necessary to acquire the most complete information about bones of the head, sinuses, jaw and teeth.
Even though it does not provide a 100 percent precise and realistic image, as is possible with 3D images, an RTG orthopantomogram serves as an excellent basis for understanding important anatomic structures and offers insight regarding possible conditions and diseases and furthermore significantly facilitates and accelerates the further course of intervention. It likewise serves as a control image during further examinations.
